Greetings from a Neglectful Blogger!

So it's literally been months since I've posted ANYTHING, so I do believe it is time to post once again.

Let's talk about the New Year.

It is now 2012 and I find myself not making one resolution but several:

  • Smile more.
  • Focus on the "now" more than the "then" and "eventually".
  • Always dress in a way that makes me feel pretty and ladylike but at the same time like a force of nature.
  • Become a force of nature.
  • Step up my cello-ing. I've made huge leaps in just a year. Now to leap even further.
  • Be a better leader.
  • Care less about the opposite sex.
  • Care more about people in general. (Hello COMPASSION)
  • Grades. Get them UP.
  • Cut down on the clutter. Sell old, un-worn clothes, get rid of things that have never been used and never will be.
  • Get rid of emotional baggage.
  • Stop being naive. The gravitational field that surrounds so-and-so is strong, but I am stronger.
  • Don't waste so much time.
  • Take a break every so often. Don't get burned out on music within a month.
  • Remember that success is the ultimate goal, but so is happiness.
  • Be happy.
That's about it. There are a couple other things on that list but they aren't things I want to share with the world. So you'll just have to keep wondering.

Second topic of the day is winter break. I've recently finished my first semester of college (yay!) and am now on winter break (boo!). You'd think after a semester like mine (we're talking at least 4 hours in the practice rooms, two hour rehearsals, getting lessons, teaching lessons, and still trying to pass academic classes) a month of doing nothing would be a gift. No. Just no. In the past three weeks I've been the most bored and therefore frustrated human being on the planet earth. I'm the kind of person who likes to keep busy. If I don't have anything to do, I implode. So consider me imploding.
Thankfully I only have 8 days until I get to go back to my dorm (ahem*home*) and pick up my life.
The only thing that is keeping me sane at this point is the audition music for Symphony. Yes, despite being last semester's principal cellist I have to re-audition to be in the Orchestra. Cool.
Okay, rant over.

Here's a picture of me playing at a wedding back in November!
