Once upon a time there was a girl named Elodie. Little Elodie loved Burt's Bees lip balm with all of her might and kept a tube of it with her at all times. She claimed it was the only lip product she would ever use.
Then one day she saw in a magazine a new wondrous balm.
"Behold!" exclaimed the page. "A revolution in lip care!"
"Oh my!" cried little Elodie, for she was taken aback by the ball-like stature of the product. But after reconsidering what was originally skepticism, she decided that she wanted-nay, NEEDED this EOS lip balm.

So out she ventured to look for said product. After searching and searching, Elodie finally came across a small display of bright pink spheres in her local Wal*Mart.
"Hurray!" she cheered.
And she lived happily ever after.
...until she discovered that there were more flavors.
So began the addiction.

Review of EOS lip spheres flavors Lemon Drop, Summer Fruit, Honeysuckle Honeydew, and Sweet Mint
Methinks these should be reviewed in the order that I purchased them...
Summer Fruit
Scent: I love the scent of this one. It smells like peaches and olive oil (which sounds weird but trust me, it's really nice). A friend of mine used to sneak it out of my bag during class just so he could smell it. Eventually he bought his own!
Formula/Texture: Nice and waxy, not too thin.
Effectiveness: Moisturizes well and last long after applied.
Pros: (Above)
Cons: If your lips aren't too dry, the balm just sits on your lips like a heavy barrier. This can be quite unpleasant.
Lemon Drop
Scent: It smells just like lemonade! In my opinion it is a major pro but might not be for others.
Formula/Texture: Super smooth (unless you get sand in it like me). Very waxy to apply but softens from the heat of your lips. (Hello, hot lips!) I should also note that this formula claims to be SPF 15.
Effectiveness: I brought this with me when I went to the beach and it definitely kept my pucker moisturized and sunburn free.
Pros: (Above)
Cons: Again, the balm felt heavy. Also, it kind of tastes/smells like sunscreen after a while. I almost wish EOS made a non-sunscreen version.
Sweet Mint
Scent: Minty heaven.
Formula/Texture: Super smooth with a nice tingle. Very reminiscent of my previous favorite: Burt's Bees.
Effectiveness: Minty, moisturizing, tingly. Hurray!
Pros: (Above)
Cons: None!
(This is obviously my favorite!)
Honeysuckle Honeydew
Scent: VERY sweet. Smells just like honeydew. No joke. JUST like it. The same friend who coveted my Summer Fruit is in love with this one. He liked Summer Fruit, but he LOVES Honeysuckle Honeydew.
Formula/Texture: Waxy. Not disagreeable.
Effectiveness: It moisturizes pretty well. Better than SF and LD.
Pros: Moisture!
Cons: The scent isn't my cup of tea. But please note that my friend (above) adores it.
What do they look like??
HDHS on the left is a good example of what an EOS lip sphere looks like when you first buy it. It's very dome-like. SF on the the right is a perfect example of a well used lip sphere.
Again but closer:
As you can see, I use SF a LOT. It's nearly flat, whereas HDHS is quite the opposite.
Overall, I love EOS lipbalms. They are handy, effective, and easy to find in my bag due to their unique shape. Also application is a breeze. No need to stick your finger in a messy pot o' balm. Just apply like any chap-stick and you're good to go!
That's all for now loves!
Love Always,
