I mentioned in my last post that I recently went to the beach with a few friends. As a result of a few hours in the sun, I got slightly tanned and a teensy bit sunburned. But I was amazed when I looked in the mirror and saw that my cheekbones and nose were uncharacteristically freckled!
Let me be the first to say that freckles are precious! Never had I had these speckles and I was positively thrilled to see them. They definitely made me feel like Strawberry Shortcake:
With my red (okay,
auburn) hair and my new freckles, she and I could be twins! Kidding, kidding. Oh how I wish my hair was naturally that red... Sigh. (I actually tried to dye my hair that color a few years ago. Never. Again.) Also, I want to know where she got a pink polka-dotted cat.
The second obsession of today's post is pepper. That's right. Pepper.
Black pepper, to be more specific.
Actually, it's not so much the appearance of pepper that I love as it is the smell of it. There's something about this spice's scent that puts a big ole smile on my face.
One last thing:
Just thought I should throw that out there.
